The developers of the controversial altcoin Pi Coin, which has been quite popular on social media platforms in recent days, reported in their latest statement that they have made updates regarding some deadlines (PI).
According to the official announcement, KYC for Pi Coin has been extended until 11:00 on March 14, 2025, Turkish time, (UTC+3), for customer identification and mainnet transition processes. The new date coincides with the sixth anniversary of the official launch of the project.
The extension was shown to allow more users to move to the mainnet by checking their own balances and thus open the way for more users.
Pi Coin developers announced that the deadline has been extended for the last time and emphasized the necessity of taking the required actions to prevent the loss of past mobile balances.
Developers also issued a warning about the necessary operation to be performed:
If you fail to complete KYC or Mainnet transition during the Waiting Period, you may risk losing most of your Mobile Balance ( except for Pi issued within the 6 months prior to the transition ).
There are various claims about Pi Coin, a controversial cryptocurrency, being a pyramid scheme, and this coin may be high-risk.
