OpenEden partners with BNY Mellon to manage encrypted US Treasury assets.

OpenEden partners with BNY Mellon to manage and custody the underlying assets for the tokenized U.S. Treasury bond product TBILL. This is the first tokenized Treasury bond fund rated "A" by Moody's, managed by a global custodian, demonstrating high credit quality and low risk. Launched in 2023, TBILL allows investors to own short term U.S. Treasury bonds and reverse repurchase agreements through the TBILL token.

BNY Mellon, through its subsidiary Dreyfus, will act as a co-manager, while also serving as the primary custodian for the underlying assets, aiming to connect traditional finance with digital technology and expand liquidity management capabilities. This bank has been involved in the digital asset space since 2022 with a Bitcoin, Ether custody platform, blockchain data products, and a tokenized money market fund project alongside Goldman Sachs.
