Pump Fun strengthens legal team facing Burwick Law

The memecoin platform Pump Fun has just added two lawyers from the prestigious firm Brown Rudnick to its legal team to counter a class action lawsuit initiated by Burwick Law. Lawyers Daniel L. Sachs and Kyle P. Dorso will join Stephen D. Palley to represent the parent company Baton Corporation.

Sachs previously worked at the SEC and defended Shaquille O'Neal and Mark Cuban in cryptocurrency-related lawsuits. Dorso is a crypto litigation expert, known for helping Atomic Wallet dismiss a $100 million lawsuit.

Burwick Law accuses Pump Fun of selling unregistered securities and being at risk of being exploited for terrorism financing and drug trafficking. However, the founding team of Pump Fun only hired a lawyer right at the deadline to respond to the lawsuit.

Currently, the case does not have a trial schedule. Burwick Law is being criticized by the memecoin community for continuously suing projects on the Pump Fun platform.
