The blockchain startup DIMO launched DePIN Venture in Japan to help car manufacturers make money from vehicle data.

Japanese automakers have invested billions of dollars in developing connected vehicle features, but most vehicle data remains locked in corporate storage. An American blockchain startup, DIMO, is looking to change this situation in the world's most advanced automotive market.

DIMO has just announced its plan to expand into Japan through a joint venture with the Web3 company Hakuhodo KEY3, aimed at assisting automotive manufacturers in coping with the rising costs of infrastructure development and increasingly stringent privacy regulations.

The CEO of DIMO Japan, Ryo Hayashi, stated that their goal is to expand the DIMO platform and assist local companies in integration, while eliminating infrastructure barriers for automotive manufacturers and third-party developers.
