The platform has virtual lands which the players can own as well as various in-game characters that are in the form NFTs. Basically, Animoca Brands provides funding and technology for the Otherside Metaverse. 

The other partner in the Otherside project is Improbable, a British technology company, responsible for enhancing interoperability with other NFT protocols, integrated into the system. There is, also, Andreessen Horowitz, a venture capitalist that has injected much funding in the Otherside Metaverse.

## Major components of the Otherside Metaverse

### Playable NFT characters
The Otherside Metaverse allows different NFTs to participate in the game as playable characters. Otherdeeds is a name of the plots of land that exist in the Otherside metaverse. They are Dynamic NFTs, meaning that they are changeable with the passage of time. As such, they will adopt other important traits and features in the future. Put differently, the Otherdeed will change based on how you use it in the game. 

Already, the Otherdeed consists of various elements required in the game such as the environment, the resources, Sediment, artifacts and Koda. Each of these components has other attributes. For instance Sediment comprises Infinite Expanse (Tier 1), Cosmic Dream (Tier 2), Rainbow Atoms (Tier 3), Chemical Goo (Tier 4) and Biogenic Sw<a href="/price/amp-amp" target="_blank" class="blog_inner_link">Amp</a> (Tier 5). 

On the other hand, Sludge, Bog, Obsidian, Luster, Crimson, Glacia, Steppes, Thornwood, Ruins and other elements form the environment. The other categories of the Otherdeed are the atmospheric elements like Volcanic, Mineral, Growth, Decay, Harsh, Spirit, Chaos, and Psychedelic. Likewise, the elements of resources are ore or metal, anima for research root or wood and shard or stone. 

In total, the Otherside has 200,000 Otherside Land NFTs. However, half of these have already been distributed. Still, the Otherside Metaverse land sale will also take place in future to enable other players to access the land NFTs. 
## What is Koda NFT?
Another important component of the Otherside metaverse is the Koda NFT. The Kodas refer to the mystical creatures that live within the Otherdeed metaverse and breathe life into the ecosystem.

Currently, the team has not provided much detail on how the Kodas Yuga Labs behave. What we already know is that the Kodas have various traits which include head, weapon, eyes, clothing and core. 

Nonetheless, the Kodas are not stand alone units you can purchase but are traits of the Otherdeed for Otherside. The fact that there are 10, 000 Kodas in the first 100, 000 Otherdeeds shows how rare they are. This means that there is 1 in 10 possibility of getting a Koda when you buy the Otherdeed for Otherside. 
### Key issues of the Otherside NFT
What is also worth noting is that the Otherside Crypto, <a href="/price/apecoin-ape" target="_blank" class="blog_inner_link">ApeCoin</a>, will play a great role in the success of the metaverse. Even when the prices of other cryptocurrencies were falling, in 2022, it maintained an upward trend for a long time. However, a crashing of the system as well as high gas fees led to the ultimate fall in its price.
