Stubborn inflation could pose political problems for Trump, who promised to "completely eliminate inflation" during his campaign. Dan North, senior economist at financial services company Allianz Trade Americas, said, "There has been no real progress towards the 2% target. I suspect that you will begin to see inflation data moving in the opposite direction."
