From Primary Investor to Independent Trader: Raxy's Crypto Assets Trading Journey

Raxy entered the Crypto Assets industry in January 2021, initially engaging in GameFi projects, and then shifted to the venture capital field. After working in the VC industry for more than two years, he decided to transition to an independent trader, systematically studying and practicing trading skills.

Raxy's trading career began with losses. He initially used the logic of "valuation nesting" for trading altcoins, but as the market changed, this strategy gradually became ineffective. By analyzing the market share of Bitcoin and USDT, he realized that the difficulty of trading altcoins was increasing, requiring a deeper understanding and more precise timing.

After careful consideration, Raxy concluded that Bitcoin is the most suitable asset for full speculation in the crypto market. He gradually shifted his trading focus to Bitcoin, forming a clear capital allocation strategy: 80%-90% invested in the spot market, using the turtle trading method combined with key moving average indicators; the remaining 10%-20% is used for contract trading, mainly relying on traditional chart pattern analysis and small technical indicators to assist in decision-making.

Raxy pays special attention to the two moving averages EMA20 and EMA200, supplemented by indicators such as MACD, RSI, and SRSI to confirm trends. His trading rules are simple and clear: buy when EMA20 crosses above EMA200, and sell when it crosses below. This strategy may generate frequent trading signals in a volatile market, but it is simple to operate and helps avoid the impact of emotional fluctuations.

For altcoin trading, Raxy believes that moving average strategies can still be referenced, but their effectiveness is relatively poor. He considers the daily EMA20 as an important reference indicator, and only when it is rising or being broken through does he consider trading. Altcoin trading requires higher demands for profit-taking and position management, necessitating precise judgment and strict control.

When assessing the market top, Raxy focuses on the SRSI indicator. He adopts a reduction strategy when a death cross occurs in the SRSI, and considers re-establishing a position when a golden cross appears. He also observes the behavior of large holders; when they no longer buy in large quantities through the spot market, it may indicate a weakening of upward momentum.

Raxy summarized a few trading insights: avoid setting unrealistic integer level targets, respect trading system signals, allocate positions reasonably, and different strategies should operate in different accounts. He emphasized that trading is a continuous process of learning and adjustment, requiring the identification of trading strategies that match one's personality, and the constant correction of one's relationship with the strategy.

Finally, Raxy shared six trading mindsets: treat trading as a challenge in the game of life, focus on position management, learn to judge market cycles, stop fantasizing about getting rich quickly, follow the trend, and maintain the ability to participate in the market for the long term. These insights reflect his profound thoughts and experiences during the transition from a primary market investor to an independent trader.
