EigenLayer Launches Revolutionary Platform EigenCloud

The leader in Ethereum restaking protocols, EigenLayer, today officially launched its revolutionary new platform, EigenCloud. Why is EigenCloud needed?

EigenCloud aims to solve this "splitting". Its innovative idea is to transfer complex application logic from the cumbersome blockchain to the powerful cloud (off-chain) for execution, and then use the blockchain's "trust" mechanism to endorse the work done on these clouds. The Three Core Components of EigenCloud

Taking the development of a "decentralized food delivery platform" called TrustEat as an example, this introduces the three core components of EigenCloud:

1. EigenDA (Archive Room)

   • Function: A "public data wall" with ultra-large capacity and low cost, recording all off-chain computation inputs, outputs, and processes.

2. EigenVerify (Universal Court)

     • Subjective Dispute: For example, if a user complains "The delivery arrived cold", a "jury" will be formed to review the evidence and vote to decide.

   • Function:
     • Simplify the development process and automate the handling of underlying complex operations.
     • Allow developers to combine existing AVS (Application Verification Service)
     • Achieve "Build Once, Deploy Anywhere"
   • Application:
     • Rapid integration of AI pricing, data processing, cross-chain payment and other functions

• Simplify the deployment process and lower the development threshold.

EIGEN and bEIGEN: The System's Dual Token Model

EigenCloud adopts a dual-token model to drive system operations:

• EIGEN: Ordinary "cash", freely tradable on the platform or used for DeFi.
• bEIGEN: Similar to a "work certificate", obtained by staking EIGEN, used for participating in system construction and earning profits.

This design separates speculators from builders, enhancing system stability. It also introduces a "forkability" mechanism to prevent large-scale malicious behavior, providing ultimate trust assurance in solving tricky subjective issues.
