French court and Durov: a new round of confrontation

Pavel Durov has testified for the third time in Paris — the case concerns the possible involvement of Telegram in the distribution of prohibited content. French authorities believe that the platform is not effectively combating illegal content on the internet.

🔒 The legal team of Durov is actively filing counterclaims:
— submitted a motion to close the case,
— questioned the constitutionality of the judicial process,
— appealed to the EU Court requesting clarification on what exactly is required from Telegram.

Neither Durov nor his lawyers have made any comments to the media after the court.
Moreover, since July 10, he has been officially allowed to travel to Dubai for no more than 14 days.
