An ancient whale that drew attention with its Bitcoins obtained during the period known as the "Satoshi era" from 2009 to 2011, which have remained inactive for years, has conducted a significant transaction again.

This whale, which previously made headlines by carrying 80,009 BTC on July 4th, has now transferred 20,009 BTC to a new address from two old wallets, totaling approximately 2.42 billion dollars.

The beginning of the new arrival address is detected as "bc1qmu", and this transfer was made using the modern and low-fee address format just like previous transactions. It is stated that the transferred BTC has not been sent anywhere else so far and the identity of the wallet owner is still unknown.

  • Two wallets belonging to the same whale purchased 20,000 BTC on April 2, 2011, when the price was only 0.78 dollars per BTC. The current value of these BTC is 2.37 billion dollars.
  • The other 6 wallets purchased a total of 60,009 BTC at a price of $3.37 per BTC on May 4, 2011. The current total value of these assets is approximately $7.19 billion.

These types of antique Bitcoins are considered rare and special because they were obtained during the period when Bitcoin's creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, was active.
