Trump: No intention to extend the 90-day tariff suspension Jin10 Data, June 30 - According to the Associated Press on June 29, U.S. President Trump stated that he has no intention of extending the 90-day tariff suspension for most countries and regions beyond July 9. Once the negotiation deadline he set expires, the government will notify relevant countries and regions: unless an agreement is reached with the U.S., trade punitive measures will take effect as scheduled. He mentioned that letters will soon be sent to relevant countries and regions before the deadline approaches. Trump stated on Fox News Channel: "We will assess the attitudes of various countries and regions towards us: are they friendly or unfriendly. For some countries and regions we don't care about, we just send a high number directly." In the interview, Trump indicated that these letters will state: "Congratulations, you are allowed to purchase goods from the United States of America, subject to a 25% tariff, or 35%, 50%, or 10% tariff."
