Rejecting Diplomacy with the US, the Iranian Government is Set to Meet Putin
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that he will travel to Moscow, Russia to meet with President Vladimir Putin after the U.S. attacked Iran's main nuclear site. He said that although the "door to diplomacy" must always remain open, it is "not the case at the moment." "We (Iran and Russia) enjoy a strategic partnership and we always consult each other and coordinate our positions," said Araghchi. Previously, the Middle Eastern country rejected diplomacy with the United States and decided to retaliate against the attacks on Ben Gurion Airport in Israel. This was done because Iran decided to uphold its sovereignty, interests, and citizens. Araghci also stated that the US has gone too far, forcing the superpower to face the consequences. "And the last and most dangerous thing is what just happened last night when they crossed a very big red line by attacking the nuclear facility alone," he said.
