U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick made important statements about the Trump administration's new approach to Bitcoin (BTC) and America's Bitcoin strategy.

Lutnick, recalling that the Biden administration took a distant stance towards Bitcoin, stated that this period is now behind us. "Bitcoin is like gold," said Lutnick, adding that the Trump administration had a warm approach to Bitcoin.

Lutnick, describing Trump's first 100 days in office as "crazy but productive," said it was "extraordinary" to work with a president who generates news every day and is in front of the press. Lutnick also noted that they quickly implemented President Trump's promises regarding Bitcoin. Remarkably, it was announced that the "Bitcoin Strategic Reserve" promised by Trump during his election campaign was established in a short time thanks to him and David Sacks, with the support of the Department of Commerce and other Bitcoin advocates within the government.

Lutnick, stating that his personal relationship with Bitcoin dates back many years, noted that he began researching Bitcoin in 2017 and made significant investments in Bitcoin both individually and institutionally in 2020. Lutnick emphasized that Bitcoin offers a unique store of value due to its limited supply and decentralized nature, saying, "Even today, we are still in the early days of Bitcoin."

On the other hand, Lutnick, who referred to the "Investment Accelerator" ( program recently launched by the Ministry of Trade, stated that they directly support investments exceeding 1 billion dollars. Lutnick explained that they have taken significant steps to promote Bitcoin mining, indicating that mining facilities will be allowed to establish their own power plants. Lutnick noted that this way, miners will be able to produce Bitcoin at lower costs and sustainably through their own energy sources without remaining dependent on traditional energy grids.

Lutnick, who stated that they would promote the use of environmentally friendly and renewable energy sources such as hydroelectric and flare gas, said, "There will be a huge explosion in Bitcoin mining in America."
