Chainalysis: About half of the TRUMP and MELANIA holders had never purchased Tokens on the Solana chain before.
Odaily Planet Daily Chainalysis data shows that about 50% of previous Trump and/or Melania Token holders had never purchased tokens on Solana Block on-chain (excluding Solana and stablecoins). Chainalysis analysts pointed out that almost half of the buyers created their encryption wallets on the same day they purchased tokens. Earlier news, on January 17, Trump launched his own namesake meme coin just a few days before he was inaugurated as President of the United States. Two days later, Melania Trump, the First Lady, also launched her own namesake Token. Trump's meme coin quickly rose from about $6.20 at the time of issue to a peak of $75.35 on January 19, an increase of 1108%. However, since then, it has fallen sharply, trading at about $12.70 on Wednesday afternoon, a drop of 83% from its peak. (morningstar)
