Survey: Expect the Reserve Bank of New Zealand to cut interest rates by 50Bp again next Wednesday, affected by rise concerns

On February 14, Jinshi Data News reported that a Reuters survey of economists showed that the Reserve Bank of New Zealand is expected to further advance its interest rate reduction plan, cutting interest rates by 50 basis points to 3.75% next Wednesday. They also expect a further 75 basis point cut in interest rates this year. Since August last year, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand has cumulatively reduced interest rates by 125 basis points, but there is still more work to be done to promote the economy to overcome the recession. With the inflation rate of the previous quarter at 2.2% within the target range of 1%-3%, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand still has room to cut interest rates next week.
