The Ethereum network increases the Block Gas limit for the first time under the PoS mechanism.
Golden Finance reported that the Ethereum network successfully increased the Block Gas limit for the first time under the PoS mechanism after receiving support from over 50% of validators. Data shows that the Gas limit has exceeded 30 million from the previous 30 million, and is expected to be adjusted to 36 million in the end. This adjustment can be completed without a hard fork, providing support for network expansion. It is worth noting that the last gas limit adjustment on the Ethereum network occurred in 2021, when it was increased from 15 million to 30 million. Although the Dencun upgrade has improved network scalability, gas limit adjustments are still necessary as DApp demand grows.
