According to the statistics from the National Climate Center, the cumulative precipitation in most parts of the Jiangnan and South China regions in China from April 1st to April 28th exceeded 100 millimeters. Among them, the precipitation in the central and eastern parts of Guangdong, the southern and western parts of Fujian, the eastern part of Guangxi, the southern part of Hunan, the southern and eastern parts of Jiangxi, and the southwestern part of Zhejiang exceeded 300 millimeters. The eastern part of Guangdong, Jiangxi, and Fujian even exceeded 500 millimeters. Among the cumulative precipitation data from national meteorological observation stations, the top three stations are all from Guangdong. Longmen, ranking first, has a cumulative precipitation of 1128.9 millimeters, more than five times the normal level for the same period. Fogang, ranking second, also exceeded 1000 millimeters. Due to continuous heavy rainfall, water levels of multiple rivers in the Pearl River Basin have experienced significant increases. On April 22nd, Beijiang witnessed a severe flood, and on April 28th, Hanjiang experienced the third flood of this year. In addition, mountain torrents and geological disasters have occurred in many areas of Guangdong, and some towns have experienced serious waterlogging.
