When asked which trade agreements are imminent, Trump said, "We are very close with India, and... we might reach an agreement with the EU." This remark by Trump comes as EU Trade Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis visited Washington on Wednesday for tariff discussions, while an Indian trade delegation arrived in Washington on Monday for a new round of talks. "The EU has been very tough in the past, but now they are becoming very friendly. They want to reach an agreement, and it will be very different from the agreements we have made over the years," he added. When asked about the prospects of reaching an agreement with Canada, Trump stated, "It's still too early to say."
