BlockBeats news, on April 27, according to Cointelegraph, U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff stated at a town hall meeting on April 25 that he supports the impeachment of U.S. President Trump, arguing that Trump is planning to hold a private dinner for large holders of his official meme coin TRUMP. According to NBC News, Jon Ossoff said: "48 hours ago I saw that he was arranging private meetings for people buying TRUMP. When the sitting president of the United States sells access in this way, essentially accepting direct payment, it undoubtedly reaches the standard for impeachment." Jon Ossoff expressed this at a town hall meeting in Georgia, where he is campaigning for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. He added that unless the Democrats win control of the House in the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, the chances of impeachment are slim. Currently, the Republican Party, to which Trump belongs, holds a majority in both the House and the Senate.
