Gate News bot news, Pudgy Penguins will soon launch a Web3 skill-based game called Pengu Clash on the TON blockchain, entering the competitive mini-game sector.
According to reports, this game will adopt a "play-to-win" model, allowing players to earn rewards through competition rather than speculation, essentially making it a skill-based game.
Luca Netz, CEO of Pudgy Penguins, stated: "Users bet against each other, rather than 'playing to win', meaning players earn tradeable currency provided by the game. This is a user-versus-user based system." The game will feature various game modes with different rules and objectives, as well as skill-based challenges.
Pudgy Penguins is developing Pengu Clash on the TON Blockchain and points out that Telegram's large and unique user base is a significant advantage. Netz stated that the messaging platform "has a completely different user base than those we have encountered in the past," which includes users from Nordic countries and other regions.
"Most platforms are not positioned for this type of game. We see this as an opportunity to scale up," he said.
The project plans to release more games in 2025. The next game "Pudgy Party" will be released in August.
