Gate News bot message, a document reveals that President Trump profited $57.3 million from his family's Crypto Assets project World Liberty Financial, which these earnings have been labeled by lawmakers as "public corruption."
This "windfall" comes from the token sale of World Liberty Financial. The platform is a decentralized finance platform co-founded by Trump and his three sons—Donald Jr., Eric, and Barron—before winning the 2024 election.
This 234-page document submitted to the government ethics office shows that Trump's Crypto Assets investments have yielded substantial returns since he took office.
For example, he has successfully monetized his political brand through multiple projects ranging from meme coins to golf resorts, with total revenue exceeding 600 million dollars.
According to a statement in March, World Liberty Financial raised approximately $550 million through two token sales, with over 85,000 investors participating globally.
Despite the substantial income from Crypto Assets, Trump's golf empire remains the main focus of his finances.
Trump Endeavor 12 LLC, a Miami-based company that owns golf courses and resorts, generated $110 million in revenue, nearly double his cryptocurrency income.
Disclosures show that Trump owns 22 assets, each valued at over $50 million, including his golf resort in Turnberry, Scotland, and shares in Trump Media & Technology Group, which owns Truth Social. His Mar-a-Lago Club alone contributed over $50 million in resort-related revenue.
His company, CIC Digital LLC, earned $1.1 million in 2024 by licensing its likeness to NFT collections and holds Ethereum wallets worth at least $1 million.
However, the newer meme coin joint venture under Trump, Fight Fight Fight LLC, was not included in the 2024 disclosures as it falls outside the reporting period.
In May of this year, Trump held a dinner for the 220 largest holders of the official Trump meme coin (TRUMP), and after announcing the event in April, its price increased by 56%.
The document also details substantial royalty income, including $2.8 million from Trump watches, $2.5 million from Trump sneakers and perfumes, and $1.3 million from the Greenwood Bible. The Greenwood Bible is described as "the only Bible officially endorsed by Lee Greenwood and President Trump."
However, despite being sought after by the encryption industry, Trump's series of investment activities has sparked strong criticism from both parties on Capitol Hill.
"This is public corruption," Congressman Gerry Connolly asserted, stating that Trump's deep ties with Crypto Assets have created unprecedented conflicts of interest.
In addition, the disclosure document lists 11 outstanding debts, including the judgments from the E. Jean Carroll sexual assault and defamation case, as well as the debts from his 34 felony convictions—all of which are pending appeal; there are also seven real estate loans, each exceeding $50 million, involving properties such as Trump Tower and Trump National Doral.
