According to Techub News and reports from TASS, law enforcement agencies in the Buryat Republic of the Russian Federation discovered illegal crypto mining activities hidden inside a Kamaz truck during a routine power line inspection in the Baikal region. The truck was drawing power from a 10 kV line and contained 95 mining devices and a mobile substation, but two individuals involved had fled the scene before the police arrived. Buryat Energy, a subsidiary of the Siberian Electric Company in Russia, stated that there have been 6 cases of electricity theft related to crypto mining since the beginning of this year.
