Gate News bot reported that, according to CNBC, the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) announced on Monday a partnership with the American chip manufacturer Nvidia ( NVDA.O ) to jointly create a regulatory sandbox environment that allows banks to safely experiment with artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
The agency stated that starting in October, UK financial institutions can conduct AI experiments through Nvidia's accelerated computing platform and enterprise-level AI software products. This innovative program, called "Supercharged Sandbox," is specifically aimed at financial institutions in the AI exploration and experimentation phase.
The FCA emphasized that for more mature AI application scenarios, authorities have set up a live testing service. "Collaboration will help those organizations with AI creativity but lacking implementation capabilities," said Jessica Rusu, the FCA's Chief Data Officer. "We will assist businesses in harnessing AI technology while ensuring market and consumer rights are protected, promoting economic growth."
