Meta collaborates with Anduril to develop artificial intelligence military products

Meta Platforms is working with Anduriel Industries to develop new products for the U.S. military, including an artificial intelligence headset with virtual and augmented reality capabilities. Anduriel said they are working with Meta to design, build and deploy a range of integrated XR products that will improve warfighter perception and intuitive control of autonomous platforms. Anduril's co-founder, Palmer Lecki, is the co-founder of Oculus VR, which was sold to Meta in 2014.

Samsung's first XR headset device may be named 'Samsung Switch'

On December 26th, Jinshi Data reported that according to the latest trademark documents, Samsung's first XR headsets with the code name 'Moohan' may be named 'Samsung Switch' or 'Galaxy Switch' after they are launched. Samsung has registered the trademark 'Samsung Switch' with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO), and it is estimated that similar trademark registrations have been carried out in the United States and South Korea. Samsung may preview this XR device at the Galaxy Unpacked event in 2025, 'Samsung'.
